ICT Baseline Training
Baseline ICT Standards is a set of ICT skill competencies set out in progressive Key Stages. These represent the basic level of knowledge, skills and values that pupils need in order to fully benefit from a curriculum enriched with ICT, and eventually thrive in a technology-driven society.
In CCKPS, age
appropriate content are taught to the Primary 1 to 6 pupils by our resident ICT
trainer. These trainings includes processing of words, data and images. Putting
together all the skills, students will also learn to prepare presentations.
Our aim is to equip our students with skills and knowledge to become responsible digital learners, demonstrate respect for self and others and practice safe and responsible use of digital resources.
Student advocates share their
understanding of Cyber Wellness issues through pre-assembly talks. Professional
speakers engage our students twice a year through assembly talks on to talk
about various Cyber Wellness topics. In the classroom, lessons on Cyber
Wellness are carried out during the Form Teacher Guidance Period. Form Teachers
conduct discussions on Cyber Wellness issues and how to go about navigating the
Student Advocate presenting on examples of negative peer influence on social media.
