Special Needs Programme

1. School-Based Dyslexia Remediation (SDR)

The SDR programme is a two-year intervention for P3 and P4 students who are identified through a systematic screening process for dyslexia conducted at the end of P2.

As part of the SDR programme, materials were created to partner parents to enhance the support for their children with dyslexia.

2. Social Skills Sessions

Social Skills Workshop started in 2012 to provide a platform for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). The pupils will practice and generalize the skills that they have been taught, through social interaction. This year the Social Skills Workshop will be conducted in Semester 1 and 2. Examples of targeted skills that the pupils have learnt are eye-contact, staying on topic; conversation, body language, listening, turn-taking, following instructions, and working in group.
